Mr. Willie Bowman Jr. was a deacon of St.Paul Baptist Church for forty-six years. After the old church was destroyed by fire in 1970, He planned and built the church also the pews in the Church. He was very dedicated to the church. He had the church at heart, and worked diligently for the church . He participated in every aspect of the church. There was not anything going on in the church that he was not a part of. Click on his favorite chapters in the bible.( 1 Corinthains:13 and 2 Timothy:15) We need more dedicated members today .

There were many members who had a great influence on this church. They are gone, but not forgotten. Deacons: Thomas Brown, John White, Zollie Polk,And Sam Burley.Mothers: Viola Neal, Susie Williams, Alice Nunnery, Mary Young, Candice Smith, Mary Gordon, Evelyn Tyler and Anna Collier. Brothers: Jonas Prater, Major Davis,Sylvester Walker,David Walker, Sidney Lewis, John Lewis, Tony Lewis, Herman Morris, H.M.Lewis, Henry Brown, Cleveland Smith, and Carl Moreland. Sisters: Adline Rolax,Rebecca Hensley,Geneva Snyder,Sarah Haggens,Edorkas Prater, and Mable L. Lancaster.
